Meditation = Transformation

I was 19 when I started on this journey to transformation.
I worked at a than " New Age" bookstore. I took home book after book. Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Louise Hays, Deepok Chopra etc. etc. I read, I studied, I prayed and I hoped. Alas, I gave into my old patterns. I married and had 2 children. All the while knowing I did not want to die with my music still in me. The light was beginning to fade. I divorced, went throught some interesting tranformations and had some great experiences.

Now I'm here. I've come full circle. I'm reading Wayne Dyer, Louise Hays....I'm studying, praying but, unlike the first calling to spirit this time I'm meditating. All gurus tell you to get quite, go within, the answers lay inside ourselves. All people who are teaching how to get to the light inside us say. "Meditate"

I am here to tell you that there is no other peace than the peace you find when you allow yourself to become quiet inside yourself. When you allow yourself to meditate you are able to have the knowing that you are not alone. You are of a source and that source is of love and has guidance for you.

Our world is of noise. All day, Everyday, noise distraction and no quiet until we sleep. So, I am wondering? We expect to get guidance, peace and love in our everyday full of stuff? Hmmmmm. Unless you are willing to go in, get quite and feel whole I can guarantee you the stuff will be all you get everyday. For the rest of your life.

Now if you want to live to your fullest and get more out of your life than just stuff. This is what I recommend.
Go somewhere quiet. Get still. Turn off your phone, tv, computer, children. Stop what you are doing for 10 minutes. Lay down, sit in lotus whatever, just get still. While your there in stillness, let the mind go like a movie reel, just let it all pass by. There is no need to make it stop or try and control your thoughts. Let them be. Concentrate on your breath. In and out. Slow and Steady. Now drift into the oneness. You are all you need.

I can promise you. This practice will shift you into a tranformation. Do it like you would a diet, an excerise program, eating & sleeping. This is your life. Treat this as just another thing you do in your day. Only this is the most important thing you can do in your day. Practice for one week and come back and let me know how you feel. Show love for yourself and others get quiet and just be.
I would like to thank my beloved meditation partner, Cary. Namaste my love.

Ali

This is exactly how I learned to meditate! So cool. I want to do it more often though!
So interesting that you have come full circle! I guess you needed to plant those seeds back then to help you get the push you needed to change later.
I love the pictures you have on your blog! they are beautiful!!
